Welcome to middle school: sixth grade!
My classes include Bible Study 6, Math 6, Language Arts 6, Math 8, and Algebra (8th grade only). It is so exciting to be able to teach these core classes with God being the center of each class. God has created this world with mysteries for the students to experience throughout middle school content. My favorite is pi! How marvelous that He created circles such that each and every circle has a circumference that when divided by the diameter ends in the irrational number pi!
Bible Study 6 content is a selection of Old Testament stories and how they are still relevant in today's world.
Language Arts 6 encompasses grammar, writing, and literature. My favorite book of the year is The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle. Caught Ya's will review and increase writing skills in the form of proofreading. Writing will be in a variety of forms.
Math 6 continues the progression of skills from the elementary years leading into algebra and integers. Math 8 is open to both 7th and 8th graders and involves pre-algebra topics along with a strong unit in geometry. Algebra is open only to 8th graders and is a high school level course.
