Teachers Called to St. Paul

The teacher call committee has been faithfully, diligently and prayerfully working to bring recommended names to fill the two open teaching positions. 


The congregation has voted to call two new teachers, one for first and one for sixth. Below is some information about the candidates.


Jessica Meier – Call 1st Grade


            Concordia University Chicago BA

Appalachian State University MA

Present Ministry: St. Matthew Walled Lake

Teaching: Kindergarten teacher for the past 13 years


Approach to Educational Ministry:

“Hands-on, engaging and differentiated for learning.”  

“Providing a welcoming classroom where kids feel safe and cared for so they can learn about Jesus.”

Steven Schmit – Call 6th Grade

Current Position: 7th Grade Homeroom

Teaching: 5-8 Gym, Math (Math Chair), Religion, Lit., Western Hemisphere

Present Ministry: St. John Fraser


Advanced in Technology.  (Tech Director for the school)

Strengthened Math program at St. John Fraser

Sharing faith and building lasting relationships with students

Passionate about math

Energetic -Tremendous addition to middle school

Unique gifts in both math and art
